Introducing Mindful Art - A New Creative Wellness

Article written by: Gill Smith

Mindful Art offers a unique approach to mental and physical wellbeing through the power of art. Its focus is on exploring the therapeutic benefits of art and creativity to promote mindfulness and wellness.

Gill Smith suffers with Fibromyalgia a chronic pain condition and found huge therapeutic benefit in using fluid art as a mindfulness practice. She discovered that it had a significant effect on her pain levels, ultimately influencing her mental and physical wellbeing. Motivated by her own experience, Gill founded Mindful Art to share this powerful tool with others, encouraging individuals to explore the link between creativity and mindfulness in order to enhance their own wellbeing through art.

Mindful Art offers classes and workshops that teach fluid art techniques while also exploring how art can be used to practice mindfulness. Participants will immerse themselves in a creative process that fosters relaxation, focus, and personal fulfilment. Attendees also have the unique opportunity to commission bespoke Mindful Art jewellery, created using their own paint and design, a wearable reminder of their experience to encourage daily mindfulness.

This year, Mindful Art intends to expand its current services by introducing new events including the recently launched Fluid Art for Beginners Course, seasonal Pour & Sip events, guest artists and new techniques, all with the focus of using creativity and fun, to foster mindfulness.

Workshops take place in multiple locations throughout Fife and will soon expand into Kinross, Perth and Dundee.

Mindful Art is committed to making creative wellness accessible to everyone, especially those who might benefit the most from creative mindfulness practices. Understanding the diverse needs and challenges of the community, special rates are offered to local groups such as wellbeing organisations, art clubs, mental and physical health support groups, and general community interest groups.

Mindful Art can also offer bespoke private bookings such as corporate team building sessions, hen parties, and birthday celebrations, offering a unique and enriching experience for all attendees. Mindful Art sessions are a great way to bring friends or coworkers together for some fun and relaxation. They help everyone connect and enjoy the amazing benefits of art.

Mindful Art is excited to be developing brand new kids' classes, set to launch later this year. Recognising the importance of fostering creativity and mindfulness from a young age, these classes will be specially designed to engage children in fun, interactive art activities.

Stay tuned for more details on the launch of these exciting new offerings. To learn more about upcoming classes, events, and booking options, please visit www.mindfulartuk.com or get in touch with Gill Smith directly by email: mindfulartfife@gmail.com.
