The Dunfermline Community Learning and Development Team are inviting local residents to help shape the future of community learning—and we’d love to hear from you!

Community learning plays a vital role in helping people grow, connect, and thrive. It offers opportunities that are local, inclusive, and designed to support people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you’re looking to build new skills, support your family, improve your English, or simply meet others in your community, there’s something for everyone.

What Community Learning Includes

  • Adult Learning – If you're 16 or older, adult learning is for you! These opportunities are designed to help you- improve skills, knowledge and enhance wellbeing. Learning can be informal or formal and includes opportunities to take part in recognised qualifications. Courses and groups are learner centered, focusing on the needs and interests of people within their communities.

  • Family Learning – Family learning brings generations together to learn in fun and meaningful ways. It also helps parents support their children’s education

  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) – English learning support for those new to the language
