Easter Hunt

This year we co-hosted an Easter Hunt with Halbeath and Duloch Community Council. We set 6 trails for families to walk over the 2 weeks of the school holidays, they needed to collect the clues for the secret code to win an Easter egg. Easter Saturday saw me and Rosie in Calais woods by 7am to set the final clues as to who had stolen all the Easter eggs. Gazebos went up in case of rain and we waited for the first arrivals to crack the clues. BookBug Session was at 11am and lots of books were dished out, thank you to Arlene from Duloch Library for braving the cold in the park.

The turnout was a bit disappointing considering all the effort put into the organising of the day. However, those who came along enjoyed the activities. Many stones were painted and balloons decorated not to mention Easter eggs consumed.

There were eggs leftover so we had some for each Community Council to distribute in their areas. South Dunfermline gave some to the Foodbank, some to the Morar Living Care Home at Pitreavie Castle and the rest donated to the quizmasters at Pitreavie Golf Club for their Friday Quiz Night Raffle, this year they are raising funds for Blood Cancer UK.

If you have an idea for a community event, please let us know as we would very much like to help bring our communities together.
